Late last month, Mrs. Dolly Thomas, principal of our Interparochial School, Sts. Joseph and John, announced her retirement. In her announcement to the school community, Mrs. Thomas wrote “it has been both an honor and a privilege to minister to this school community for over 30 years and working with the students, parents, school staffs, church staffs, clergy and pastors over these years has been both fulfilling and rewarding. I was truly blessed to be a part of this wonderful school community for so long. Sts. Joseph and John School will always hold a special place in my heart and the memories of students, teachers, staff members and parents, past and present, will be cherished forever.”
I join with Fr. Joe Mamich, Pastor of St. Joseph Parish, and our entire St. John Neumann praying community in thanking Mrs. Thomas for her many years of service, both as principal, and prior to that, as a classroom teacher and assistant principal. We are grateful for the impact her ministry has had upon our school and certainly wish her health, relaxation and all the best in retirement.
Using the Diocese of Cleveland “Guidelines for the Selection of a New Principal”, a search committee is in the process of being assembled with the assistance of John Stipek, the Diocesan Assistant Superintendent for the Southern Region Schools. This committee will assist in the process of selection a new principal for our school who will build upon the legacy of the past while securing a strong future for our children, parents, and faculty.
Please continue to keep Mrs. Thomas, students, faculty, staff and Search Committe in your prayers..
