Sr. Pat Sylvester, SND 

    Sister Pat  grew up on Cleveland's east side near St. Joseph Christian Life Center. She is the second youngest of four.  When the new Route 2 was being built in the early sixties, her family moved to Willowick.  

    Shortly after in 1963,  she entered the Sisters of Notre Dame and taught for 16 yrs.  Her father passed away in 1984 and it was at that time she moved to Arlington , Va. where she ministered as a DRE  for three years.  She returned to the west side of Cleveland and served as Pastoral Associate at St. Julie Billiart Parish in North Ridgeville for five years before coming to St. John's in 1992.   

    As a Pastoral Associate, she coordinates the RCIA process.  She works with a team of parishioners and has been touched by so many who are searching for a spiritual home in the Catholic Church.  She coordinates the Adult Education Program in the parish, offers retreats for women and a Tuesday morning bible sharing group.  Sister Pat is involved in her community's Associate Program and along with Sister Mary, has welcomed seven members of our parish to become acquainted with the Sisters of Notre Dame through retreats and faith sharing opportunities.  

    Sister Pat is a caregiver for her mother and her six year old kitty "Romeo" whom she says keeps her amused.  She enjoys time with friends, music, dancing, and this summer she has taken up golf.  Sister Pat's two brothers and sister live on the east side and they get together often for a "sibs-day" night-out.
