Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation is the third of the three sacraments of initiation. Confirmation completes the Sacrament of Baptism and provides us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. They are Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety and Fear of the Lord. Just like the apostles on the first Pentecost, the candidate for Confirmation receives the Holy Spirit which gives the recipient the strength to follow Jesus and empowers the individual to become involved in the mission of the Church.

At St. John Neumann Church the Sacrament of Confirmation is offered to students in the eighth grade. Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is done either through Sts. Joseph and John School or for students attending public school, through the Edge weekly catechism program which is held on Monday evenings September to April from 6:45 to 8:15pm

Registration for the Confirmation preparation program begins in April. All students must be registered by August 1st. For additional information please contact Ann Marie Ong at 440-238-1770

Baptized Catholics who have not been confirmed and wish to receive the Sacrament may contact the parish office for more information. 440-238-1770
