KINDERGARTEN AND 4 YEAR OLD PROGRAM

The Kindergarten Religious Education Program is designed to give young children a positive experience of the presence of Christ in their lives. The program is scheduled during the 10:30 AM Sunday liturgy and is structured for five-year-old children. Parents are invited to assist as teacher aides. GRADES 1 - 5

Classes for children in grades 1 through 5 are held at Ss. Joseph & John School, located at 12580 Pearl Road. Classes meet every other Monday from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM September through May.

Enrollment in the St. John Neumann PSR Program is limited to registered parishioners of St. John Neumann Parish. A PSR registration form may be obtained by CLICKING HERE.. 

Children preparing to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and/or Eucharist must have attended the PSR program one complete year prior to the year in which they are eligible to receive the sacrament.

GRADE 6 -8

The sixth, seventh, and eighth graders attend The EDGE, a complete Catholic middle school program. The EDGE meets every Monday from 6:45 PM to 8:15 PM in the LaRocca Activity Center at St. John Neumann Church September through May.

We are dependent on the generosity of parent volunteers to run our programs.  Please consider sharing your time, and your faith with the youth of the parish by serving as a PSR teacher, EDGE small group leader, PSR hall monitor or substitute.  For the volunteer registration form, click here

Students receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in eighth grade at St. John Neumann Church. Those students preparing for the sacrament participate in The EDGE on a weekly basis and also attend particular events throughout the school year which further prepare the students for Confirmation – including a Confirmation retreat – typically held in the spring. Because The EDGE follows a 3-year curriculum, students must be involved in The EDGE in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade in order to be adequately prepared for the Sacrament.
