Volunteers help with the five annual Fish Fry dinners during Lent. The last Fish Fry of the season is a special day of fasting for the needs of the poor. In addition we donate to the poor and needy, the gross amount of the money from that final Fish Fry, along with the tips collected throughout the other Fish Frys and the money from Corporate sponsors who pay $200 for a sign that is posted in our Activity Center throughout all of the five Fish Frys. Monies from this Fish Fry go to the Strongsville Food Bank, LaSagrada Familia Parish and to our diocesan mission in El Salvador. In 2013, St. John Neumann raised over $31,000 on this particular Lenten Friday.
